Retailers find mobile in-store route to consumers' hearts

Mobile devices and software geared to in-store customer service are empowering sales associates to provide an enhanced experience designed to outshine online shopping. The growing practice described in a report by PwC is called "clienteling." PwC Director Ian Kahn said that consumers have higher expectations of in-store service. "Today's shopper is looking for a richer, more personalized retail experience, and one that brings intelligence from their past interaction history, comprehensive information about products and inventory availability," said Kahn
