Qualcomm has disclosed two license deals it has reached with China-based Haier and Beijing Tianyu Communication Equipment, which will pay the chip firm royalties for using its 3G and 4G wireless technologies to make smartphones and other mobile devices.

Qualcomm said the royalties payable by both Haier and Tianyu are consistent with the terms of the rectification plan submitted by Qualcomm to China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). Financial terms were not disclosed.

Earlier in 2015, Qualcomm reached similar deals with several China-based device makers including leading brand vendors Huawei, TCL, Xiaomi and ZTE.

Qualcomm in February 2015 announced that it reached a resolution with NDRC regarding the commission's investigation of Qualcomm under China's Anti-Monopoly Law (AML), with NDRC imposing a fine on Qualcomm of CNY 6.088 billion (approximately US$975 million). Qualcomm has also agreed to implement a rectification plan that modifies certain of its business practices in China.
